Simulations of large areas can be accelerated when using a triangulation for the floor field calculation instead of using a regular grid. A triangulation usually reduces the number of mesh points enormously.

|
|
|
|
Apply following steps to use a triangulation for a simulation run:
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. Generate a helper mesh by using the GUI.
|
|
|
2. Use class `EikMeshPoly.java` to convert the helper mesh into the final mesh.
|
|
|
3. Place the final mesh where the scenario file is stored in subdirectory `meshes/<scenario_name>.poly`.
|
|
|
4. In scenario file, change `createMethod` to `FAST_MARCHING_TRI`.
|
|
|
|
|
